Pricing, eventually
We haven't priced this yet.
Most of what's worth doing with Pass It On — cataloging the things, attaching the stories, writing down the why — is work only the person who lives in the house can do. So we built a place to do it. The pricing comes after the product is worth pricing.
When we do start charging, we think it'll look like the way estate attorneys actually price: a one-time fee to put your plan together, and a small annual fee to keep the vault alive and editable. Updates that need a fresh document will be priced per update. If you ever decide you're done, you'll be able to pay once, download everything as an archive, and close the door behind you — no auto-renewal, no nags.
But that's later. Right now, we're in beta. And if you're here, you're early.
Where we're heading
One-time plan creation
Like paying an attorney to draft a will — except the will costs $500+ at the cheapest, and we cover the part the will leaves out: the inventory, the stories, the why. We'll aim for less than half an attorney's basic will.
Year one included
The watch. The cookbook. The photos in the third drawer down. Catalog them, attach the stories, regenerate the document as often as you need to. We're not nickel-and-diming the work.
Small annual renewal
Roughly what a streaming subscription costs. Less than the dust on your father's box of letters costs you in time.
Per-update & graceful exit
Life changes. The grandkid arrives. The divorce closes. The plan needs a fresh page. Pay once, regenerate, done. And if you ever decide you're done with us — pay once, get an archive, close the door behind you.
“What you write today is the afternoon your kids don't spend guessing.”
A promise to early users
If you're with us during beta — invited, signed up, kicking the tires — you have full access for life, at no charge, forever. Not "free for a year." Not "free until we change our minds." For life.
We'll say this here, in the terms, and in an email we send you the day we turn billing on for new users. It's not a marketing trick. It's how we pay back the people who came in before the lights were on.
During beta
Pledge what you want.
Beta access is invite-only. Pledge a dollar or more and we'll bump your invite up the queue. $0 is fine too — we just won't jump you ahead of folks who backed the work. Either way you're on the list, and beta users keep full access for life.
Thank you. We've got it.
